On January 4th, 2010, Public Advocate de Blasio announced the creation of the office's organizing unit to ensure that more New Yorkers' voices are heard at City Hall. The new Organizing and Constituent Services Unit will hold regular Town Hall Meetings and Organizing Workshops, link residents to local organizations and activists.
