The Office of the Public Advocate is working in partnership with community groups and volunteers across New York City to monitor access to hospitals and medical facilities during winter storms. Markers on the map below reflect area hospitals and the current status of road conditions surrounding the hospital (GREEN = Roads are clear; RED = Roads are blocked or hazardous; WHITE = Status TBD).
During periods of winter weather, status reports will be updated approximately every 2 hours from roughly 9am to 7pm daily. If you have updates on any road conditions noted here, please call the Public Advocate Hotline at 212-669-7250 or file a report online here. In addition, all general concerns regarding snow clean-up should always be reported directly to the Sanitation Department by calling 311.
