Cokorioko Newspaper--Massive New York City Employees Fight back Rally

Thousands of District Council 37 (DC 37,) New York City’s largest public employee union members were joined by elected officials, religious leaders and community organizations at a massive rally outside City Hall yesterday to protest against what they call draconian cutbacks to community services. The main goals of the demonstration are to stop layoffs, stop privatization and protect the civil service system, union official said.
