Friends and fellow New Yorkers –
Welcome! Today, our office is launching its official blog, a new way to connect and share with New Yorkers.
Our website was built as a space to seek help from our team, to learn about the issues our city and our team are taking on, our role as an office, and the people behind it.
This blog is an extension of that work, a new way to communicate beyond the headlines of the day and into the underlying issues that New Yorkers are facing, and what drives them. It’s also a way for us to share a little more about the people who have dedicated their work to advocacy and service in our office, a point of connection between city government and the people we represent.
In that spirit, and in the spirit of our office being the “voice of the people,” it won’t be just my own voice on this blog – I’ll be here too, but this is an opportunity to highlight the expertise, passion, and personality of our extraordinary team. Content here will sometimes be informational, sometimes organizational, and sometimes just fun ways to share what we’re about, and how that connects us to the people of this city.

Be sure to bookmark this page, to check back regularly for new posts, and subscribe to our newsletter for updates – we don’t want this to be one-way communication, but an ongoing conversation with all of you. I’m looking forward to it.
In advocacy,
Jumaane
