No matter your immigration or citizenship status, know that resources are available to protect yourself and your loved ones.

On January 5, 2025, after a decades long fight by street safety, public transit, and environmental advocates, New York City put into place a new policy designed to raise funds for public transit improvements, decrease pollution, and incentivize greener modes of transportation.

People can get infected if body fluids from an animal with bird flu get into a person’s eyes, nose, or mouth, or are breathed in. Farm workers, backyard bird owners, and wild bird handlers may be at higher risk of getting bird flu. Still, we recommend all New Yorkers familiarize themselves with facts about the virus and ways to protect themselves.

No matter how you cast your ballot, we urge New Yorkers to make their plan to vote – and to make sure you flip your ballot when you do.
