"You cannot reach the triumph of Resurrection Sunday without the suffering of Good Friday. The story that culminates in Easter Sunday is one of an immigrant refugee, a revolutionary leader who sought to free the oppressed and persecuted, who was targeted by a frightened, tyrannical regime because of his message, who was imprisoned and killed, but who ultimately emerged triumphant. I hope we can draw inspiration from the parallels that stretch across the centuries.
